Citizen 8200 Diver

It has been quiet for a while. Busy with repairs, not that much time for rebuilds. I received a Citizen 8200 Diver the other day. Watch this site. The final result soon. To be continued….

And here it is, the final result. As promised, the pictures. I gave the watch a new dial, hands, bezelinsert and crystal. I polished the case and gave the movement a complete overhaul. It is, offcourse, for sale. If you want more info, you can contact me via the ‘about’ page, or send an email.

Het is een tijdje rustig geweest op het opknap-front. Druk gehad met reparaties. Afgelopen week deze prachtige Citizen 8200 duiker binnengekregen. Binnenkort het eindresultaat. Wordt vervolgd…. En daar zijn ze dan. De foto’s van het eindresultaat. Het horloge kreeg een nieuwe wijzerplaat, wijzers, bezelinleg en glas. De kast is opgepoetst, en het uurwerk geserviced. Het horloge is, natuurlijk, te koop. Meer info, via email, of via de ‘about’ pagina.

Seiko 7s26-0020 / Blue Thunder

This one I made for our goalie. He is a road worker, and did my backyard.
He didnt want to get payed for the job. I knew he was looking for a blue watch. So I made one for him.

White giant

Most of the watches I made I sell within a few weeks.
I only keep a few for myself. This is one of the watches I liked so much that it is stil in my drawer.
It is based on a 6497 movement. Parts I gathered overtime.

7s26-0020 Orange mod

This one I made for Marc.
He wanted an orange watch.
I gave the movement an overhaul, and changed everything but the case.

I started out with this:

And this is what it became. Later I changed the strap for an all orange rubber one.

Seiko 7s26-0040

Here a mod of a Seiko 7s26-0040
I like the bezel of these. I left the minute track in in, but it covers a part of the indices.
The client loved it.

Classic Build

This one I made of an Asian built 6497 movement. I particularly liked the classic dial.
As always the movement got an overhaul. I have only 2 pics of it, made with my phone. It was sold
before I could take proper pics.

Seiko 7002-7000

This Seiko 7002 came as part of a lot of 12 watches. 11 went in the bin, this one was saved.
After an overhaul the movement came to live. I gave it a new crystal, bezel insert, hands and dial.
I polished the case a little, and gave it a strap.

Seiko 7S26-0040 – SKX031

Here another midsize Seiko.
I restored the dial, because I liked the silver lined round indices.
You see some spots on it, but it gives a ‘vintage’ feeling on the watch.
I kinda liked it.

Skeleton

This is my first Skeleton build. It is based on a new Asian 6497 movement.
Before assembling it I gave this movement a complete overhaul. Asian movements trend to be shipped dry.

Seiko 7s26-0030 / SKX0013 midsize

There are a lot of midsize, beatup Seiko divers available, based on the famous 7s26 movement.
Great for restoring. Here is an example. I left out the minute track, because it covered a part of the indexes.

I changed the bezel, dial and hands. I gave the movement a full overhaul.
